ExperienceSince beginning his career in 2001, Aaron C. Martin has dedicated more than two decades to advising high-net-worth families, individuals, and business owners. He began his career at a Fortune 500 tax and accounting firm, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive planning for affluent clients with complex financial needs.
In 2004, Aaron earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certification, demonstrating his commitment to rigorous ethical standards and advanced financial expertise across investment planning, insurance and risk management, employee benefits, and retirement and estate strategies. He remains committed to ongoing education to best serve his clients.
A significant focus of Aaron’s practice is working with business owners and their families, helping them prepare for and execute successful business transitions. He understands that a business is often a client’s largest and most personal asset, and that a liquidity event represents both a financial and emotional milestone.
Aaron partners with business owners years in advance of a potential sale, helping them:
- Clarify personal and financial goals post-transition
- Enhance enterprise value and improve exit readiness
- Coordinate with CPAs, attorneys, and investment bankers
- Structure tax-efficient strategies for liquidity events
- Plan for wealth preservation, income generation, and legacy after the sale
His approach ensures that the transition of a business is not just a transaction, but a well-planned, strategic process aligned with the owner’s long-term vision for their family, lifestyle, and legacy.
Prior to founding Indian River Private Wealth Management, Aaron led a top-performing team within Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management, where he advised high-net-worth families with complex balance sheets. He worked in close coordination with private banking, trust, and investment banking professionals to deliver highly customized, integrated wealth strategies.
Aaron has been recognized as a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. He was also named to the firm’s Platinum Council from 2013–2024, reflecting consistent excellence in client service and results.
